Communication System Design Engineer

Job Summary:
Wasiela is seeking a talented and experienced Communication Systems Design
Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in wireless and digital communication systems, with proven experience in
algorithm development, system modeling, simulation, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, analyze, and optimize algorithms for wireless and digital communication
systems.
2. Develop and maintain communication system simulations using MATLAB and
C/C++.
3. Define and optimize floating-point and fixed-point architectures for
communication system implementations.
4. Build, debug, validate, and enhance end-to-end communication system models.
5. Perform system-level performance analysis, including link-level and algorithm
evaluations.
6. Collaborate with digital design, FPGA/ASIC implementation, and verification
engineers to ensure successful product realization.
7. Support system integration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities.
8. Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and engineering reports.
9. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of hands-on experience in communication systems design and
development.
3. Strong knowledge of digital communication systems, including modulation,
coding, synchronization, channel estimation, equalization, and MIMO techniques.
4. Extensive experience with MATLAB and C/C++ for communication system
modeling and simulation.
5. Understanding of floating-point and fixed-point implementation methodologies.
6. Familiarity with wireless communication standards and protocols.
7. Basic understanding of digital design fundamentals and hardware
implementation concepts.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
10. Strong self-motivation, time management, and organizational skills.
11. Excellent written and spoken English.
12. Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Communication Engineering.
2. Experience with FPGA or ASIC development flows.
